Scholarship for the 34^th  Triennial Congress of the International Confederation of Midwives

Objective

The Objective of this Scholarship is to support our members to participate in the 34^th Triennial Congress of the International Confederation of Midwives in Lisbon, Portugal, from 14-18 June 2026.

The Scholarship

A maximum of 5 scholarships will be awarded to successful applicants. HK$8,000 will be granted to an oral presenter, and HK$6,000 to a poster presenter. Priority will be given to oral presenters.

The following terms and conditions will apply to the scholarship:

1. The applicant is an active member of Hong Kong Midwives Association.
2. The applicant must be a practicing midwife who plays an active role in maternity services.
3. The applicant has a paper submitted to the 34^th Congress of the International Confederation of Midwives and has been successfully selected for oral or poster presentation.
4. For oral presentation the applicant has to present the selected paper in person at the conference. For poster presentation, she has to be present at the poster presentation section.
5. Successful applicant(s) will be required to present in our sharing session as run by

the Association.  The Association reserves the right to post the abstract onto the Association’s web site.

6. Reimbursement will only be made upon submission of original official receipt and attendance certificate (if applicable) as issued by the organizer of 34^th Triennial Congress of the International Confederation of Midwives. Deadline for submission of related documents should be made on or before 18^th July 2026.

Application

The applicant is required to complete the application form (Appendix 1) and send it to Hong Kong Midwives Association, together with a copy of the accepted paper to  D1, 13/F., Hyde Centre, 223 Gloucester Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong by mail or through email.

Deadline for application on or before 15 March 2026. Late applications will not be accepted.

Notification of Result

The award of the scholarship will be announced on the Association website and successful applicants will be notified through email by 15 April 2026.

The award of the scholarship is within the absolute discretion of the Hong Kong Midwives Association in any particular case and the Association reserves the right to apply such conditions regarding the award and maintenance of a scholarship as it thinks fit.
