2. To acquire practical skills for early identification and reporting of child abuse, learn to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to create a safer environment for children.

Background:

The Mandatory Reporting of Child Abuse Ordinance (Hong Kong Legislation Cap. 650 ) was gazetted on 19 July 2024 and will come into effect on 20 January 2026. The mandatory reporting regime of child abuse is mandating specified professionals to report suspected serious child abuse cases, enabling relevant government departments to early identify and promptly intervene in cases, to achieve the policy objection of child protection
